General Discussion / Re: 3D printer

If someone were interested in purchasing a 3D Printer, what is needed to create a 3D object start to finish?

I use Fusion 360 for design and save the object to STL file.  Use Simply3D to convert the STL file to gcode for printing.

How do you get Fusion 360 for free?  When I looked into it, it was pretty expensive.

Download and install it.  Tick either Personal - Not for Commercial Use or Education license.  No question asked for the personal not for commercial license.  A few questions for the education license.

I did.  It didn't work so I picked the option of listing all drivers, it listed all CH341 drivers from the directory. Of course all were not working.  Still got the same message OBJ exists already.

From Microsoft's page about the OBJ name already exist, it seems that there is something going wrong in the registry key.  Now the problem is how to find the correct registry key to delete it.  I found one but it wouldn't allow me to change anything.

Try to update the driver manually and still got the same error message.

Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device.

There are two options for me to pick.  1. USB-SERIAL CH340 Version:3.3.2011.11 [4/11/2011] and 2. USB-SERIAL CH340 Version: 3.5.2019.1 [30/01/2019].

(Actually they have a lot of options for me such as USB-SERIAL CH330, CH340K......, none of them works)

I picked the first one because it should be the older one.  It doesn't work.  The second one also doesn't work.

I have uninstall the driver before I repeated the above procedures.  I have deleted the CH340 driver in System32 driver directory and reboot the machine.

Tried to delete all USB drivers and restart the machine to let Windows to reinstall all USB drivers.  Still no luck.

After three years got the driver problem, it comes back now.

The error is: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31).

Object Name already exists.

I have tried physically deleted WCH.CN directory and files.  Reinstalled it by using T2Laser update driver.  Still can't solve the problem.

By the way, it is a different computer.  I am using registered T2Laser on my desktop.  I am now trying my very old laptop using trial version of T2Laser.  If works, I consider to buy another license and move the engraver and laptop permanently to the shed.

The old board got a button WEAK LASER which I could turn the laser on for focusing.  Now there is no such a button for the new board. How do I turn on "WEAK" laser for focus in T2?

I have tried to put 5 Laser Power in T2 and start trace frame laser on.  It still burns.

It works now because I set the baud rate too low.

Thanks Zax.

Well the laser is on but the motor won't move all all.  What is the problem now?

I used your default firmware 1.1e.  Haven't touched the driver which was working in the old board.

Have tried the 1.1e non PWM firmware.  The laser was always on and the motors were still not moving.

I just received my new EleksMaker Mana SE v3.2 board.  The board's laser has 3 wires for PWM control but my old cheap laser only got 2 wires (on and off).  How should I connect it to the board?  Please help.

Can T2 Laser support this machine?  There is one controlled by mobile phone too.
