the motors work??  download another software controller like universal g-code sender to see if you can control it, then My recommendation, after having gone through the same issues, download the trial version of T2 Laser.

BTW, what .hex file are you using?

Data management is something that is necessary but not necessarily fun.

Sorry for being so late to the conversation, but have you changed your resolution at all during your testing?  Also, did you change your max speed within the GRBL?  I found my was extremely low right off so varying my speeds did nothing for me because my limit was set at like 200.

check $100 and $110 for your max rate.

I am not sure but you should get the same effect whether you are closer or further away as long as it is properly focused for the distance, power loss should not be too significant, unless you are trying to burn something across the room.  I would assume that is the whole purpose for the focus ring.

I use mine with the low light  button in the on position all the time.  I tried it without and it didn't work so well, as it missed some of the lower power lines in the T2Laser Grayscale mode.

depending on what I am burning and whether or not I have my platform in, I am either 1 - 1.5" or 3 - 3.5"

General Discussion / Re: What do I need for a lower panel?
« on: May 11, 2016, 03:35:32 AM »
I use a 1/4" beauty board (used in plumbing for access covers) that I had left over from putting on my daughter's doll house.  It works great, and I cut 2 notches in it to to accomodate my board mounting bolts.

I was thinking of using the same thing on the very bottom and cutting slits for the legs to go in so it will not move around.

T2 Software Updates / Re: Updates
« on: May 11, 2016, 03:33:00 AM »
there's another thing that keeps happening to me and thats if you rotate your image in T2 and then do anything else, like set the output size, or adjust the brightness, the image flips back into its original orientation with the image all stretched out and weird

Me too, so I have to go back in and rotate it again.

Nice, I have a similar but I did lines every 10 steps and darkened the lines up the middle of both axis.
