Digging up the topic ... :)
I did some tests with high temperature black paint, there was no tile, I used some metal parts (I want to make it in a lighter), the paint was drying for 48 hours ...
The only explanation that came to mind for the two of the same configuration to be different is the layer of paint (maybe thicker on top), in the corner the only difference is the diagonal direction of the engraving.

I did an improvisation with things I had here, it is not the best solution but it is working ...
in T2Laser I have to leave the "Rotating Axis" function off, otherwise it is all out of scale, reduced ... I put the diameter value, it shows the correct circumference, but when it comes to showing the frame, the two measurements are much smaller of the "rectangle" that will become a cylinder.
Leaving this function off, it seems to work well.

I thought about doing something to engrave wooden cylinders, but I believe that the diameter of these wheels cannot be any measure.

I don't know if anyone knows, but I found it very useful.
It was designed for a CNC router, but I think itís okay to use with the laser too.

It works with a USB 5v and another USB for data, but it is also necessary for full operation. They are DVD drive engines.

It seems that everything is right now =]
I used Send Default Parameters, it changed a few things ...
I did some tests, I just have to adjust the settings to find the right spot ...




T2 has many tools that I believe will speed up several processes, but I gradually discover ... only Sketch Plus (Overlay) is already an advantage for me.

Both GRBL loaded by T2Laser.
I saw that in 0.9i the parameters $ 30, $ 31 and $ 32 do not appear.
I loaded Restore Defauts in the Help menu, I don't know if that is what you say by "use T2Laser defauts", because now that I saw that in the Machine menu, under "Display Grbl Parameters" it has "Send predefined parameters" and "Reset parameters GRBL "

In mine there is also a wavy sometimes ... the support where the module is attached has a gap ... if I send a square, there is a ripple at the beginning of the line after the change of movement in the Y> X direction.

I did Restore Default and it remains the same, but I noticed that the speed 3000 at 0.9 is slower than at 1.1.
What would be the speed range in the two GRBLs? Just like the laser max is 1000 at 0.9 and 255 at 1.1.

with GRBL 1.1e the laser does not work at max power, with 0.9i it seems so, both the 5.5W and 15W laser.
Would anyone know what happens?

I use a 15W laser connected with this three-wire cable, where yellow is wpm ... everything works ok.
I decided to use the cable from the third photo, which came with the laser module, in this, the wpm wire (red) I call where the yellow was in the first photo, but the laser is always on at max ...
What am I doing wrong? it seemed to me a logical thing.

5000 mm/min is the max feed rate in T2Laser defaults but you may not reach it depending on acceleration values and travel distance, you could increase this to 8000 on a well setup machine but I use 5000 as the default value because it's fairly conservative and unlikely to lose steps on most machines.
I think the value of the Rapid Feed Rate can be the same as the Feed Rate (Recording) to give continuity to the movement ... or not necessarily?
