General Discussion / LASER ENCLOSURE BY IKEA.
« on: December 26, 2016, 05:57:50 AM »
I came across this to house the Darkly Labs Emblaser  laser machine...Might be worth checking out costs?.....its unusual but seems to be very effective......

I worked out the  cost of two glass fronted drawers mentioned  (60 UK)  ex IKEA
Shelf  100cm x 58cm 8 (UK)  ex IKEA

Other items such as the struts..switches, seals, fan etc may be sourced at cheap places.
Saves a lot of work doing it this way!!

A closer look at the drawer I noticed that the glass may be replaced by the appropriate  colour  and  thickness by acrylic.
(However, prospective purchasers should check if the glass IS removeable)!

Rather than pegboard or expanded ally honeycomb I wonder if oven shelves would be ok for work piece holding....
Just a thought and cheap.

The type shown can expand frmm 360 to 620 wide and be locked in place. Its known as a Universal shelf.  UK price  9 odd (and some slightly larger and dearer..... Ebay.

« on: August 03, 2016, 08:20:23 AM »
The newest version/update  will wipe some progs from you setup (It wiped some 30 from mine including a website uploader prog!.
It indicates these on a small program on the Desktop.  Those in BLUE can be clicked and reloaded...others..forget it!...It took me some three hours to sort out NOT including the time it took to download the new version.  So, watch it!!

For instance.  T2 I tried to refused as it  lost the subscription details.  Bencutlaser loaded ok.  Other defects have been detected by other users including failure to load anything at all.....

The International Darwin Award with Two Fingers and Oak Leaves  has been sent to Microsoft.
