Yes, I started with Benbox and found it to be lacking. I now use T2Laser. BenCutLaser is another good software

What Zax said. Also reboot your computer. When Benbox decides to lose connection, that seems the only way to clear the com port for it to connect again

Look under the Nano (blue board with the USB port) and see if there is a jumper. If you are using Benbox, the number should be set to 0.8.

You can also double check your firmware version by connecting the the controller with T2Laser

Thanks. I think it was my printer. I got myself an awesome jam in the nozzle to the point I had to swap out the PTFE tube. Also had to hold the dang nozzle over a heat gun to get it clear. It was a fun day.
I printed the same thing in purple and it turned out great. Pretty soon, I am just going to have to bite the bullet and maybe get myself an all-metal hot end.

I printed and connected pawpaw's Eiii Cooler and went to do a print with it on there. That is when my everything went cablhooey. I am not blaming the Eiii Cooler, but it seems like it did not work well for me. I was getting heat creep.

Well, I did. It try your image. I was talking about an image I had don before and got similar results to you. I do not know the pixels of that image. I will dig into my pictures and see if I still have them to show you

Bi-Directional is the default, the only reason to disable it is as a band-aid for backlash (mechanical) problems.

Rest easy now. The captain is back  ;D 8)

Full power at .2

My old 2w is a 2 wire

The lines are thin. A 2.5w will not be good for this on slate. I had an image with fine lines like that and it was all blurry. I threw my old 2w on it (probably more like a 1.6w) and it came out great.

If you can, try a less powerful laser with a smaller dot
