Ok, just for the record, it seems that switch off and on the machine and the computer has solved the issue ;)

Hi, I desoldered the old driver and installed the new one and works perfect, even with more laser power I would say.

It has been working perfecly for 2-3 days, but currently I have an unrelated new error. Im posting it here for if someone knows what could be:

Laserweb is giving me this error after the lasing has started and then the work stops:

Server error: Writing to COM port (GetOverlappedResult): File not found

In using a eleksmaker with manase2 board. It seems related to the USB or serial connection but I dont find the bug. No info on google when I search for this error and eleksmaker

Restarting the computer doesnīt solve it. Any ideas of what could possibly happen?

Hi Zax,

When I power the module alone with 12V it start dimming itself after 3-4 seconds. I had read the voltages and is the driver which is failing.

Im ordering a new one here:
(link provided by someone at the eleklaser site, this is the official drivers in case someone needs one)

Is the laser module driver: SW-LD45 V3 is failing.

I have been looking for original replacements but I canīt find it. Would a standard tll driver work?

Im looking at this:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/12V-TTL-1W-2W-3W-445nm-450nm-Laser-driver-board-Module-Blu-ray-Drive-Circuit/292713022180?hash=item44270e42e4:g:arEAAOSwq6pbkALQ

That is super helpful, Zax. Thanks ;)

Is the 3 pin version. When I power GND and V+ with 12V it fires the laser. So I guess the TLL high +5V is whatīs shuts down the laser, isnīt?.

So it seems my nano is fried or it has desconfigurated itself. Iīll find the bug.

Thanks!!

I know, ton of questions... But I have found 1.8w 445nm diodes for 10€... :o

Could I just put one of these?

Edit: Ok, I have feed 12v to the module and is working nicely, so the problem is in the board. Maybe one of the power transistors is fried. Or the board drivers. Any way of troubleshooting this?

Thanks!

Edit: Thereīs a lr120n power transistor. It seems its failing, but Im not sure how to check it. Any ideas?

General Discussion / Manase2 or laser module failing after 3 months of use
« on: September 17, 2018, 11:53:41 PM »
Hi,

I have a eleklaser with manase2 that have been working perfectly for 2-3 months.

Today the laser has failed. It lights ultra dim, you can see it with naked eye. When I push the module button for dimming the light it does nothing, instead of the normal red flashing led that indicates that the module is in dim mode.

Im guessing the laser diode is fried... But could be the board too. Any way of troubleshooting this?. Im pretty decent with the multimeter.

In case is the module, should I buy a new one or just replacing the diode is enough?

And in this case, any chance to put a 2.5W one with this driver? (Currently 1.6W 405nm)

Thaaaanks!

Confirmed: The error was solved

Ok, I think I know what is. It happens once the work is done. In the configuration of my laserweb I have GCODE END : M18;

Im almost sure is that the machine doesnīt understand this command, because it only launch the error once the work is done. I canīt  proof it now cause is working now, but I guess changing this line for

M5;
G28;

should do the job.

Iīll try later and report for the record. Thanks for being supportive, Gagallant  ;)

Hi,

Im using laserweb with inkscape with my elekslaser. It runs nice and smooth, but sometimes I found this:

error: 20 - Unsupported or invalid g-code command found in block

Somehow it seems like the conversation between inkscape and laserweb get disorted. I have search but it seems thereīs no references on inet on how to solve this.

If someone knows whatīs happening and how to fix it would be super useful.

Thanks

Trouble Shooting / Re: Mana SE firmware
« on: August 23, 2017, 10:34:38 AM »
Ok I have downloaded laserGRLB but is way too limited. I was used to benbox, which I liked for its simplicity. T2 is a beast but at the moment my clients are on budget and I canīt charge them 40 bucks more. Maybe I will buy a license for myself some time in the future.

Now downloading laserweb to try it.

Laser_cutter, could you point me to the correct setting to run it with Benbox?

Thank you all for your feedback! ;)

Because you did not change the settings.

Just raise your price by a dollar to charge everyone for using T2.

Im not sure to understand you. What do you mean?

you cannot use Benbox with a ManaSE.

You will need to use something like LaserGrbl http://lasergrbl.com/en/ or laserWeb if you are looking for something free

Thanks ThothLoki, Im downloading it right now  ;)

Trouble Shooting / Mana SE firmware
« on: August 23, 2017, 04:21:55 AM »
Hi,

I have a mana se working with t2 laser, but I would like to use the common benbox soft as the machine is for a client and he doesnt want to buy additional apps. Can someone link me a benbox with the correct .hex to work with mana se?

(The firmware I have worked with the previous board, but with mana SE the laser stays ON all the time)
