Where do I download the new GRBL? What needs to be done to upgrade? I'm currently running 0.9c with my nano jumper on 0.9. Does the conversion firmware in 1.3h upgrade this?

Also to do the firmware update do I need to revert back to the 0.8 jumper then run the update then move the jumper or can I update it without moving the jumper?

I used the bottom right adapter and top right needle valve.

A coat hanger and zip ties to secure it.

As for the pressure I did dial it down but I also clamp all my pieces down. So I'm at 10-15 psi now and works just as good. No more smoke residue or ash in the engraving

When I use center start and then right click the laser button to show a preview frame it acts like the center is not the lower left. What am I doing wrong? To use center start I should find center and put the laser there and hit go? I like the trace preview frame feature to make sure the engraving is straight any help

OK as for the regulating I set my output at the compressor at 40psi. As for the needle I went to harbor freight got the airbrush hose and a blow gun starter kit it had an adapter for the needle to the blow gun and voila. I have a 40 gallon compressor and it only kicks on 2-3 times in a 5 hr engrave. Works great to not only blow smoke but to remove the burnt debris from the piece. I've started using masking tape for all burns sine I don't get smoke residue and it burns consistent over varying grains on OAK only bad ting is the tape burns and leaves ash inside the burn. If you use a brush you remove some of the really good dark burn but air pressure removes debris and ash without lightening the engrave. I'm engraving this week I'll take photos of the ash without the air assist and with the air assist.

Just added air assist from my compressor to the laser module.  Used an airbrush hose, and a needle inflator for a ball. Some constructive bending of a coat hanger and some zip ties!! Works better than my air assist on my CO2 Laser. I might just modify the CO2 laser just like this too. Helps to keep smoke a debris from charing in the engraving. Also helps to move the smoke away from the surface.

My Gantry is allowing twist on my 300x400 banggood 2.5W laser. I don't see the problem when I go side to side raster print. But when I go to vector it allows the Gantry to twist just enough to be off by .5mm.i didn't have this problem with the 17x22cm laser. Is there a way to tighten this up so flex is not there? Can I use the circular holes that are not used in the Gantry to add a dowel to tighten this up? Or do I get the Gantry side pieces milled instead of using the plexiglass sides?

How do you check the current going to the stepper motors from the driver? What pins do I check at the motor side? Please break it down like you are talking to a kid!

I have v1.3b and it seems as though in dither mode it still tries to ise a variable power on the laser. It doesn't seem to be off/on response. I had to enable over-scan to keep from burning the wood. Is there something I'm missing?

I had to replace 1 of my Y axis motors due to it going bad. Now the Y2 Motor (newly replaced) is getting substantially hotter than the other Y1 motor. I have adjusted the current but it only adjusts both, I go up and it gets loud, I go down and it stops moving. So it is adjusted in the middle, but the Y2 motor is getting hot, and Suggestions? I don't want to keep burning up motors, I have an L7 control board, and the 200x300 eleks machine.

I have just posted some .stl files for someone who has a 3d printer to print and send them to me (for a price of course) I believe these would fix the belt anchor problem and give adjustable support for those of us who don't like the current tensioners.

T2 Engraving / Power Outage

Word of advise for those using the Benbox lasers with the T2 software. The other night I was running an image on a plaque, and about 4 hours into the burn of approx 190k lines of code my power surged and the laser shut off for just a second. The program didn't catch the small jump in power but the machine reset home and continued to run code bot it shifted home approx 20mm to the right effectively ruining the piece. Just a word of warning, buy and run you computer and laser on an UPS  (uninterrupted power supply) battery backup. My 1500 watt ups says it would run the laser and computer for 84 mins on battery alone, giving me enough time to go pause the gcode or depending on how much is left just watch and finish the burn.

Again if you have already figured this out than your good but if you haven't invested in an UPS than consider yourself warned, don't do anything expensive or time consuming with out a battery backup.

My Gantry started to shutter in the Y axis. My Y2 motor seems to be bad, if I disconnect it the shutter stops, I wonder if I can up the voltage and make the motor work again. If not I wonder if I had a power surge or something that caused it to die. Does anyone know what stepper motor to replace it with on Banggood?
