Photo engraving on anodized aluminium
« on: November 09, 2016, 11:24:29 AM »
Hi Guys, I would like to engrave photos on anodized aluminium surface. I have T2 software, but dont find the correct settings.
I tried on blue and on black surface.(black is thicker ).By the blue workpiece the laser remove the whole coating, but in different angles it will to show itself. My laser head is 5.5W. Maybe has it too much power?
The black workpiece is much other... The engraved photo here is almost good, but a little bit dark.
My laser head hasnt TTL option. Is it problem or can I engrave photo also without TTL?
Has anybody experience with photo engraving on anodized aluminium surface? Any suggestion, idea? Many thanks.

I think those look pretty good for a start, but here are a few things you can test.

1. Dithered mode
2. Lower resolution (increase value, so if you are using 0.1, try 0.15 or 0.2)

Yes these will make it more like "dots" but the result may be better.

I have not tried to do photos on anodized aluminum, only logos/text.
