I get the error message in the pic below, and not sure what it means. What am I doing wrong?

Well, in Microsoft speak... it means you need to uninstall the previous version before you can install a new version.

So that won't mess up the license, I have the license file tucked away. Lately I have been doing allot of swing and a miss lately, that why I ask.

No. The license won't be affected, just uninstall from the Control Panel and then re-install. Don't try to manually delete the folder or anything as that will delete the license, but you can just enter it again and re-register.
