Perpendicular Path Option
« on: November 24, 2016, 10:57:08 PM »
Forgive me if this is already a feature I have not yet found, but... is there any chance you (Zax) could add the option to flip the Diagonal/Horizontal path (rotate 90 degrees).  This could reduce the "texture" of a wood engraving and provide better coverage when doing multiple passes at courser resolutions.  Thanks, in advance.

I could, but you could rotate your material at get the same effect ;)

This is actually better since the the X-axis has less mass so engraving will produce better results vs. using the Y-axis to scan.

The trouble with rotating is that alignment must be perfect.  I make an effort to not touch the piece until the desired depth is achieved.  I do understand that it is rather trivial, but figured it was worth a shot.   ;D
