Anet A8 printer
« on: December 04, 2016, 09:27:30 AM »
I recently purchased the Anet A8 from Gearbest and couldn't be happier. I got it shipped to my doorstep for ~$200.  I found it easier to setup and get started than the Laser kit.  Everywhere I read stated that 3d printers were a pain, but this thing went together easy and made quality prints first try.  I can't say anything negative at this point.

Runs like a champ!  I use Craftware software and its all on auto, prints really well.  I use blue painters tape on the bed and for most objects that works fine, only rarely have I had a problem with the object coming loose and ruining a print.  I started smearing a layer of Elemers Glue-All on the tape and that works like a charm.  There are a plethora of objects for the A8 to print as upgrades on thingiverse too.  I've printed feeds for the PLA, a fantasitc spool holder, fan mounts for cooling the power supply, tool holders, etc.  For $200 bucks to my doorstep, I don't think it can be beat for the price.
