Poplar vs Birch

Can anyone share experiences with poplar and birch ply compared? I have cut poplar so far, but would like to hear from you if birch is (and how much) harder to cut.

Yes, thx, I am aware of that, just wanted to hear some more people with experience, especially the ones using 5.5w lasers.

3mm birch takes me about 5 passes with a speed of 100.  I have poplar but its all really think that i only use to engrave on right now.  I only have a 2 watt though.
