my best yet
« on: December 27, 2016, 05:08:27 PM »
decided to try a big project, almost the maximum workspace my laser has,
this is the 2nd try, with slight tweaks from the first and it looks pretty darn good!

That's fantastic, not only your best but probably THE best I've seen.

What settings did you use? (it looks like speed 800, resolution 0.1, what are the other #'s)

Do you use an air assist? It looks like that is a painted surface. Very nice work.

C-1 is contrast -1 and G.99 is the gamma on the image, no air assist, I have a hood that pulls smoke out of the window buts it been too cold to open it.

OK, last stupid question... do you have a TTL laser?

I remember you were using something other than 0 for min laser (I fixed the bug related to skip blank by the way) so I thought you had the standard laser.

No I have a regular laser as far as I know, I changed my settings  to use a 0 min because it doesn't make any difference to have it "sort of on" it's probably easier on the laser to just turn on and completely off anyway

Impressive, it looks like you have some nice detail. The driver is obviously working well.

Could I ask that people post their software and settings to help others?

Wow those are amazing, I cant get close to that kinda contrast out of mine.
Thats very impressive to get those results from a PMW setup.
I am seriously considering getting a TTL laser for my setup soon.

No Need to, i disassembled this laser too.
Removed the old laser driver from the heatsink, en put the new one between fan and housing..
Thats it. Just wait, till Agastar has his kit for sale.
Than we have all the same setup, that's much easier to share info.

Is Agastar planning on selling JUST the diode? Or the entire lease setup? (diode, heatsink, fan, power driver)
I have a non-TTL 5.5w laser and I have to burn at half the speeds others do, so I think my laser has lost alot of its power,
was looking into the 3.5w TTL lasers that Banggood have.
But if Agastar is going to offer his soon I should wait to see what he is offering.

No, just the circuit board to drive the laser.
But you'll never know, if you don't ask him..
