Wood door signs
« on: January 09, 2017, 12:29:48 PM »
I made some painted and engraved door signs for my nieces and nephew.  Got em from joanns.  I'll post the link later.  Taped, air assist, speed 750, resolution .1 power 255

painted, dried, taped, engraved, nylon brush, black paint, dry, remove tape. Then I hand painted the minecraft guy.

You will see on Rylees some tape goo still on it.  I'll clean it up when its fully dry tomorrow.

They look great.

Before reading I thought for sure that was a decal (sticker) you had applied but seeing it was hand painted, very nice job!

oh man a sticker would have been so much easier.  I have no painting ability.  Luckily it was a paint by number deal since the laser made the design.

here is the link to the wood stock i used.

Haha well maybe. I started at home depot but they are pricey and most of the stuff is too big for my little engraver. Old lady craft stores are cheep and small cuz old ladies have little hands and limited budgets.

Perhaps you could start a business engraving initials in knitting needles.

Why not. I also suspect there is a market for laser cut leather mini skirts. You could be chief measurer/fitter. Then we could see you on late night TV.
