some assambly issues with LaserAxe, need some advice
« on: January 25, 2017, 05:21:21 PM »
2 weeks after i got it, sat to assemble it and ran into few issues

1 - they gave me un threaded frame so i have to use "force" to attach legs to it and might have warped or changed the frame a bit as the middle frame doesn't move as smooth as it should
2 - any advice on belt tension options? it's sh** on the Axe
3 - missing a bolt for the laser unit (need to get one later)

any wisdom on assembly?

Belt tension is such that, near one of the pulleys, pushing in with your finger you should get 'about' 1/4 inch deflection.

These kits are usually short a part here and there. I ended up having to buy the hardware box AliExpress->Novel Life sells just to have an extra set of all the hardware on hand in case I needed it. I know, we should not have to do that, but if you got all the hardware you needed to assemble your DIY kit, consider yourself to be lucky.

Otherwise, you'll have to hunt down missing parts that you need online (as I did) and at your local hardware store (as I did).
