You intend that the pwm pin on the "laser" connector is empty or you connect the laser on the GND/12V on the right?

A TTL laser uses the laser connector, it has the PWM output (S-pin). A non-TTL laser uses the motor connector which is switched with a MOSFET.

I tested both options with T2Laser firmware, using my 2500mW non-TTL and 2W TTL lasers.

The board and firmware work fine, which is why I concluded your laser is faulty.

Well, then if the customer service will respond shortly, I'll try to arrange the return of the faulty module.
In the meantime that i wait(hope not too far),i'll get a non-TTL module maybe less powerful. thanks for the replies ... ...

it has the same power.  Ttl isnt a power thing.  Its a control thing.  it gives you more shades of grey for greyscale.  There are work arounds for non ttl. Most of the work i do is at full power so the non ttl is fine with me.

I've received the TTL version with Mana SE ordering the previous version, they send random this version till the old version will be out of stock.
Sure the photo engraving on wood will be more defined, i think.

Yes. The Mana SE is the standard board now, it replaced the L7 and has some nice improvements.

I thought "Mana SE 2" just means the 2 axis but maybe it is a newer version. I haven't seen one yet.

The 3-axis version I have says Mana CNC so you are probably correct.

awww yes you are not wrong.  I was looking on Aliexpress and they have it listed twice at 2 different prices. One says mana se 2 step and the other says mana se usb cnc 2 step so i got confused.  I think one is just sold my a different distributer.

They are both just 2 axis boards.
The Mana 3 is special for 3 axis.

I did finally get the system running correctly.
1. Installed the USB driver for the clone Nano board. Do not need it with the real Arduino board.
2. Tried BCL and it uploaded GRBL 1.1 and the communications work OK
3. BCL, T2L and PicLaser all work correctly.
I am running the system from an OLD IBM laptop with 32 bit XP and with just enough speed to get the job done. But the laser doesn't need a lot of speed.
