Rdworks - Laserwork
« on: March 13, 2017, 06:32:56 AM »
Hi all!

I download this software from the web and I look that's very complete for my projcets.
For example I can assign different layers to different power.. but when I try to connect my 5500mw nothing works.
On port settings I put the right COM in the usb checkbox but when I start the port check I see the led on the board blink but the sw tell me wrong connection.
Anyone try this software ?
Thank you in advance

Rdworks runs on the more powerful CO2 laser machines...I'm not sure it will run on our Grbl laser machines...but perhaps someone else can say for sure.

UPDATE: here is a link to the Rdworks manual: https://rdworkslab.com/viewtopic.php?t=731

I did a search for gcode and it did not find any. I did a search for Grbl and it did not find any.

I'm certain now that Rdworks will not work on our Grbl-based laser machines.

RDworks I'm pretty sure is another name for RDCAM, and I'm not sure where it learned to communicate but it has a rather peculiar dialect.  In any case, it ain't G-Code.
