You are talking about DXF files, correctly?

Are you just getting warnings or is it actually importing wrong?

its always easier for us to verify the problem with your files.  If you want to share that is.  If they are dirty pictures of you lady friends or you have a copyright on them please refrain from sharing lol.

Open the program "paint"

ok I see.  It wont open for me either.  Although I dont think this is a T2 problem.  What did you create this in? I cant open it with photos, paint, nor inkscape.

Your .bmp is actually a .dxf (wrong extension), but interestingly T2Laser doesn't care providing you use Import DXF and select it.

It contains entity descriptions that aren't in the AutoCAD reference, and every vertex has a bulge value but they don't look correct. Older versions of T2Laser ignored bulge values, so selecting that option makes it import as previously.

so by the screen shot you provided by turning on the bulge factor it will load will try that

have no idea why or how the extension changed

It didn't. Older versions of T2Laser were ignoring them automatically but I changed the default and made an option to ignore them. If the DXF follows the AutoCAD reference then it works correctly but not all software does, and it appears your plugin is one of those.

None of the 3 dfx rendering software on my Linux system behaved nicely with the file. The best was open office cad which displayed "+" marks that might be an outline and one blue dot in the center.

Nottingham  that is2 bears within the big bear
I normally cut this out of steel with my plasma table
usually in the 24" wide size

Its one of many that I am now engraving either dxf or jpg with my 2500mW

I am amazed at the sizes I can get down to, done a detailed one of an old American styled mc officer
on a old Harley that would normally be cut at around 40-48" down to 8"

the biggest problem I have sometimes is the drawing if it imports at all and its some where off my screen
If I had a wish it would be that t2 could recognize and automatically move the drawing into view

otherwise I have still been unsucessfull  in cutting the plywood so for now I just
engrave

Wish granted, check the "Relocate Origin" option in DXF settings and it will do exactly that.
