Prusa I3 Mk2s
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:40:53 PM »
Ok so my prusa is finally printing away.

Here are some things I learned putting it together.

1. Pay them to put it together for you (suck it up its worth it.)
2. Ok you didnt do number 1 and I didnt either.  So we are both stupid and gluttons for punishment.
3. Dont put it together during a storm when your microwave dependent internet will go down constantly and you cant look at the good instructions online.
4.  The motors are labeled because they know im dumb (see #2).  Put the right motor in the right place.
5.  If you dont put the motor in the right place at least wire the y axis to the y and the x axis to the x.
6.  If you wire x to y and also put the limit switch for x to y so they match, the machines auto calibration wont realize you made a mistake.
7. If you dont do 4-6 your probe cant find the little stupid dots and it will keep running into the print surface and you will get angry.
8.  Take your time.
9.  Take lots of sandwich breaks
10.  Dont zip tie anything(except the stuff that is held on no other way) until you are done

Did you laser etch its name / ID info? I don't see the slate coaster mounting plate. Where is the laser cut box? Incomplete and or sloppy work will not be tolerated.

That's why I have 3 printer's.

But I like the CNC better because it makes a bigger mess.

I did the Owl's because my wife loves owl's.
She was asking what good a 3D printer was so it was the owl's and the sail boats.
No there are no more questions.

He does not have all of them.
2 3D printers, a Printrbot Play and a Printrbot Simple Metal with heated bed. Integrated a Tablet onto the Play.
Sherline CNC 17" Lathe and Desktop CNC Mill.
2 A5 Laser kits.

Wish I had all of this when I was 20!
