wire the +/- to the laser to a 12 volt supply and the ttl input can run off the D11 pin
Laser: 2500mw A5 eleks maker
OS: Windows 10 all in one pc
Software: T2

Is the laser always on (when it should be off) or always full power when on (no power control)?

The typical Elks Maker controller power switch is only rated for about 500ma!!!! A 5W laser easily draws 3A.

He has a small power board (in his pictures), it appears the DC plug is directly powering the laser and only the "S" (TTL/PWM) signal is coming from the controller. So as long as they provided a suitable power supply he should be fine.

Are you getting D11 directly from the Nano?

It doesn't sounds like you are getting the correct signal.

If I understand correctly you have an independent 4A supply just for the laser and you want PWM control from the CPU on pin D11. Should be doable. Make sure you provide a common ground.

Is the ground of the second power supply also connected to the ground of the board? This needs to be.
