yup, depending on the height (I can always put the laser gantry on 'stilts') I still plan to do rolling pins. I would also like a strong air assist when doing the rolling pins as I think this will help engrave deeper.
the idler rollers are in between the supports holding the rod. I plan to make these of different heights for different sized objects.
Strange, the video works ok on my phone but not on my pc... no biggie, just a video of poor lasering on a bit of bamboo

I think one of the kids knocked the build platform, not only that but the scale is wrong, a 608 bearing won't fit without fiddling. I think I might still use them in the prototype.
Printing the coupler. I will be using M6 threaded rod.

Need to work on the hight of the bearing holders. The coupler is not the right size but it works and will do for now.

Hows the rotary going?, you can make couplers from plastic tube(similar to fishtank air hose or the like ) warm it to get it on .

Hi Derek,
I have had to start from scratch. I have been concentrating on the electronic side of it and now have a stepper motor that works well with T2Laser so I will move on to the hardware side beginning of next year. I am also reworking my fume extraction system so this will be on hold until this is finished.
