INKSCAPE dxf output size
« on: July 30, 2017, 05:40:50 PM »
Created tabbed box in Inkscape.

Document properties were to mm.
Display units set to mm.
Object created in mm.

SAVE AS to .dxf (Autocad dxf r14)

Open the dxf in T2 and the object size is half of the actual drawing.  Disabled Unit conversion in T2 and the file that should be 70mm x 120 mm ends up being 500mm x 1024mm. (open the file in qcad with similar results.)

does anyone have experience with saving to dxf from inkscape?

The attached dxf should have the following properties:
Coordinates: X 5, Y 5
Width:  87.000mm
Height: 77.000mm

Take a look at my conversion documents, the method is slightly different depending on the version.

For 0.91 use the original and 0.92 the v2.

In T2Laser / DXF Options make sure you have Override DXF Units disabled (no check mark).

Thanks Zax,  will review you guidelines and redo the object. Apparently inkscape dxf output is a long reported bug that has not been fixed.

Edit: worked perfectly, thanks Zax.

No Units of measurement set in the DXF file.
