ELEKS A5 Pro Build Inspiration
« on: August 09, 2017, 10:46:49 AM »
Howdy Folks,
I just finished building the ELEKS Laser A5 Pro with three upgrades. I ordered extra accessories from the ELEKS Store to add some eye candy to my gantry, the blue washers, the blue 2.5W laser module. Then I headed to the hardware store to pickup LEDs and a engraving/cutting mesh screen. Finally, I found a video where it was shown how to add small plastic or metal protectors under the end belt tighteners, under the retaining screw so that the screw does not cut a hole in the gantry belts.  Go here: https://youtu.be/iIC6kJAlZQ8
My next and last tasks will be to put the Air Assist from pawpawpaw on my rig, and put it all in a portable carry case.
Here it is: the Swiss version  8)

Where is the material you ask?
Here are a first few images. Cutting a Kumiko design out of ply and polyester felt.
Another image is a name sign for a door.

My next step is to install a guide frame fastened to the mesh so that material can always be placed exactly in the same location. Image will follow.  ;D

What software are you using? Looks like there might be some alignment issues OR resolution.Very nice peices though.

It looks like he's enabled Photo Mode, either that or he has some backlash issues.

Reminder: Photo Mode should NEVER be manually enabled, the algorithm will determine when it is required to soften the image.

Thanks Mr. Zax. I will check that. Hoping to become a Master T2er.
