CNC Laser only moves to the right dircetion
« on: September 08, 2017, 01:10:23 PM »
Hi,

I just bought my CNC Mini Laser. Now, that i'v flushed it with EleksCAM, it no longer moves left, nor back, not forward....
I tried then to flush it with BenCutLaser, problem is still a problem.

Any idea?

You could try one of the more primitive software packages such as GrblController or even a terminal emulator if you understand gcode.
SARCASM - Just one more service we offer here.

Is it one of those NEJE type mini lasers?

Does it move right with only the right command or just right no matter what?

Try my Grbl 1.1f LaserAxe firmware, it may not work correctly but if you tell me what it does we may be able to figure out what pins it uses and then create you a custom firmware. If you have a meter you could also ohm the pins (continuity check) and determine the connections.

Even GRBL does not work...

Hi Zax, this is my machine,, unfortunately it doesn't say what it is! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/7000mW-DIY-Metal-laser-engraving-machine-10W-CNC-laser-work-area-56-65cm-laser-engraver-metal/32799714182.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.1cV8Bd

I don't have a meter and don't know what you mean by OHM ;p

Looks like you have a laserAxe machine.
-Open T2
-go to the control screen
-connect to your machine (COM port)
-Go to Machine (dropdown) --> Custom Firmware --> Upload Firmware (1.1f LaserAxe)

After you do that, try an control your machine. Report back with what happens.

An Ohm is the measure of resistance. You need an Ohm meter (typically a multi meter ie-volts,ohms,continuity....). They are a very good to have and you can get some that are inexpensive ($5-10) for a basic one. Personally, I have about 5 of them of various brands and qualities (HF to Fluke 8))
Laser: A5 2000mw with L7 Board / A3 2500mw PWM with Mana SE -- All using T2Laser
3D Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2.1
