So, today I had my first go with PETG (finally)
I have some settings to play with but I think it turned out well so far

Where did you get your operating parameters? I also have similar printer and unopened spool of PETG. I suspect the hot end is running much hotter than reported.  Perhaps by 20 degrees.

Thanks. Do you keep it enclosed? Slow cooling?

I do have an enclosure. I made my own LACK enclosure. It is not sealed but it works well.

I made mine from the Ikea STUVA 18, 60 x 50 x 64cm and as luck would have it in the damaged section i got a door to fit for 1.50, can't find any damage on it.

PETG i use 235, first layer 240, 65 heat bed, 0.2 layer hight and don't squish the first layer like for PLA or it will stick too much especially on glass or pei sheet. i use hairspray or glue stick, not to help it stick but to help get it unstuck otherwise you will probably break te print getting it off. Let it cool and it usually comes of by itself. I use the fan at 50% or less from layer 3 up as i use 3 bottom layers. Speed depending on what it is but usually about 45mm/s but have gon as far as 80 when in a hurry. On small objects i slow the speed down to 25% using the tune menu to give the first layer time to set before the next layer.

cheers
