If you are using T2Laser, what size does it show on the simulation "view" screen?

This will determine if the problem is your axis calibration or the file you imported that needs to be corrected.

You can use the test files in the Help / Samples menu to check the sizes.

no I always save as mm.... I dont know that it matters.  I just know the settings I use work.  Im sure some other settings would work too.

Yes, it's the easiest way to deal with images for engraving.

Hello,

After some reading and trying i have a result .

It's not a 100 % shot but i'm happy .

I had spme troble with the trace mode ,ill was getting so many lines that it took a very long time .
After looking youtube movies and some trying ill found the solution.

Using inktskape inport the foto and use the trace option.
Here ill made the image wat the trace made complete black ,save it as DXF file and inport into T2 laser.
T2 laser dit the trace complete automatic.

after the first cut i was verry happy.

Question : when i have the complete version is it posible to adjust some lines after the auto trace ?

The foto's are for me good for using and made the rest of my work easy, the only thing i dit here was 3 cuts so il have to cut the last bit with a nife .
This is 10 mm foam ,think 5 cuts are going al the way.
Need to do some test on the real inlay foam ,then the real fun can start.

I'm building a pc for this job and when its ready it's going to the top flour ,some smell bether not in my computer room .
When it's ready ill send a mail for paimant end code .

The software is nice to work with .

Thanks for the help.

Henk

I'm a little confused, if you convert the image to vector (trace) in Inkscape you would make any edits required before exporting the DXF. Once you load the DXF in T2Laser it's ready to cut, you don't trace it again.

If you capture an image on a white background it should be possible to use manual trace and get the outline to cut all in T2Laser, but I still think using a CAD program is best as you can edit the layouts as needed.
