laser in a continuous motion
« on: October 05, 2017, 05:16:01 AM »
Hey All
OK some I am trying to cut out a outline of a bottle but i can not get the laser to burn in one go. As a test i just got it to burn the outline of a rectangle. it will cut the first line fine, then when it gets to the side lines it will do one pixel from each line.
I have been playing with the settings and the continuous option although it does draw the rectangle in one continuos sweep, the laser light is on but doesnt actually burn the image. if you see the video it shows the laser going from one line to another. i want it do the rectangle in one go. Is this possible?
Thanks

You are burning it in raster mode (picture). If you are looking to burn it as a line (like drawing it with a pencil), you need it to be vector. This can be done in T2 laser. It can convert a raster image to vector. You can also do this in inkscape (trace to bitmap) and save it as a DXF file.

Nottingham82 has a great video on how to do this

@Zax is the developer of the T2
@Admin is the developer of BenCutLaser

Both have their strengths. Both have great active developers and community support. Both are found on this forum.
