jpg to vector file?
« on: October 23, 2017, 07:26:14 AM »
not sure this is the correct place to post so feel free move as necessary...
I have only recently started even trying to use graphics software so please take this into consideration...!

I am trying to convert  jpgs I have into vector files, I though SVG was the file format I needed but this crashes my laserweb on my  laptop. DXF seem to be better in laserweb.
How do you convert your pictures to vectors?
I am trying inkscape (no luck, cant get to grips with it), coreldraw (I have made better progress with this), and https://www.vectorizer.io (am getting a bit lost with all the options). I am trying the automatic mode in https://vectormagic.com
Are there any tips and trick for these sorts of conversions? When I try in coreldraw and vectoriser.io I seem to lose a lot of quality, is this normal?
=)
