broken Board
« on: November 03, 2017, 02:48:24 PM »
HI i asume my Mosfet has gone ..my laser is always burning no matter if i change the Jumper using 1.1f firmware or the MANA SE with old Jumper.
my problem is i need the Laser to engrave my Bags till Sunday so will get no new ManaSE till then.

How can i or what can i use in the meantime getting my Laser to work?

Still have an Ramps 1.4 here or an UNO .
fast help would be very nice...

Is your laser the 2 wire (non-TTL) type?

Im confused.  You  are talking about a jumper and about a mana se... the mana boards dont have a jumper that needs to be adjusted.  a picture of the laser and board configuration you have might help clarify how to fix it.

OK, well with the old laser you need a working MOSFET so if think it's shorted your options are to replace it or wait for a new board.

You mention having an L1 in addition to the Mana SE, so you could use that if it works.

sorry my posting was confusing...i have only the L1 Board ....i already have resoldered the Mosfet and the laser is working again using
0.9 Firmware and Elekscam ....if i am using 1.1f and the jumper is set to PWM my Laser ( old 2.5W laser with 2 Wires ) stays always on.
Canīt figure out why ..now i am thinking to buy a ManaSE or trying to use my Ramps / or Uno laying around.

of course fnding out why the laser is always on would be good.

The laser always on is usually a result of mismatched firmware and board, you mention the jumper which should change the laser control pin from D12 to D11 but perhaps the firmware is not setup correctly for this.

ELEKSCAM does not use grbl 1.1,  so that is probably part of the problem.

please detail the following:

Grbl version you are wanting to use?
Who compiled the grbl 1.1f version?
What program did you use to flash the grbl to your nano?
What laser control software are you using - eleksmaker, laserweb, lasergrbl, etc?
