Image Grayscale calibration question (RESOLVED)
« on: November 15, 2017, 09:03:30 AM »
I finally got to download the 2.7b version, and tried to use the grayscale calibration for images.

When I click burn test image button, it hangs and doesn't do anything.

I killed the app, restarted, reconnected to the Eleksmaker, burnt a test circle, then retried the grayscale calibration.

My question : should the test image start burning right away?

I waited up to 5 minutes and nothing happened.

Thank you.

Yes, it should start to burn right away.

Can you please give me the steps you do in your test burn process? I want to see if you're missing a step somewhere.

Thanks...

These are the steps I have been doing :

open BCL
select COM3, "Disconnected" button -> connect
click laser tool parameters tab
click Test Shapes tab
select wood Test One tool
select circle
(jog head to center of paper)
click circle test
(success)
click laser tool calibration link
select greyscale
dark feed rate 500
light feed rate 800
click burn test pattern
(nothing happens)

Do you have the Normal laser operation radio button selected? (see attachment).

That's the problem. You're using the wrong Grbl. As stated in the trouble shooting section, BCL 2.0+ must be using Grbl 1.1e.
