Do you have a system sleep mode enabled?

nothing feels hot to the touch everything is moving freely, just weird, the first one did a third of it, the second did a little more than that, the last did about three quarters. Get the same message every time . error detected aborted.

I've had a lot of reports recently, all are related to the newer Mana boards. They replaced the Atmel microcontroller with a Chinese copy, many of which appear to have bad memory or at least memory failure when they heat up.

You can enable Simple Streaming which will usually help, but it's not really a solution, just a band-aid.

I would also suggest using a good quality USB cable as the cheap ones aren't shielded and can suffer electrical noise from the motors.

don't know if it overheated or not, it shouldn't have as i have an inter-cooler fan off of an old Xbox 360 the kids had. it is running all the time when i am burning.
its behind the mana i mounted it horizontal so it blows across it and helps blow away the smoke.

should i buy a real Arudino.

Enable the Simple Streaming and see if there's any change, if you are getting random fails then it's most likely electrical noise or heat related. I would expect it to go longer with SS enabled if the problem is the Nano.

changed the cable and did SS burned the whole image but started to burn lighter about 2/3 of the way done.

do you still have to jumper a new mana se board.
no jumpers under the nano?

No, the jumper changed which Nano output pin controls the laser, before Grbl 0.9 it was D12 but to allow PWM it was changed to D11. The default is now D11 so no jumper needed.

If the laser started losing power it sounds like it has some thermal issue with the driver.
