Wedding gift card box.
« on: June 21, 2018, 05:04:30 PM »
This isn't the best photo but I just completed a gift card box for my daughter and future son-in-law. It combined 3 of my hobbies - woodworking (although I'm more of a woodturner), laser engraving and 3D printing.

Thanks,Zax. It is made from black walnut that grew in my mother-in-law's backyard so it has special meaning also.

Didn't realize until now that for some reason it posted the photo upside down. Interesting.

very nice, I take it the 'cards' bit is the 3D printed part.
Nice and clean, professional looking. Congrats to the couple!

Thank you, Kibodwin. Yes that is the 3d part along with some very tiny spacers to keep the chain attachments offset from the wood.
