Any way to NOT engrave some parts of image?
« on: September 07, 2018, 08:14:43 AM »
Hi There

Searched high and low for the answer... not found yet.

Exporting DXF files from Inkscape to Benbox - and I use placeholders to mark up the object size, along with a 0,0 and top, right object so benbox imports perfectly sized.

Is there any colour or line width which Benbox will load, but not actually attempt to engrave? Save me deleting things before saving as DXF..

Hope that makes sense!

Cheers

Nick

I donít believe there are any options like that in Benbox. Something like t2 you could probably do something like that but not Benbox
Laser: A5 2000mw with L7 Board / A3 2500mw PWM with Mana SE -- All using T2Laser
3D Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2.1

You can do that in T2Laser, there's a few ways actually. You can select to only output one color (layer) or exclude yellow.

I think BCL will also do that.

Yes, BCL can selectively burn what ever drawing objects are in your DXF file.
