We know the laser works but yes it's possible he used the "self destruct" button or what they call the "weak" laser button too long and the MOSFET is shorted.

In case anyone is still interested.............Getting ready to try T2

I just received a machine with a board like that. I.ve made modifications similar to what's suggested in this web link. I'm running GRBL 1.1h with LaserGRBL 3.0.24. My machine seems to be working well, no problems with controlling the Laser. I have extra Arduino NANOs so I kept the original Arduino board. Made my modifications on the Arduino nano with one connection to the main board.
