Printers with dual extruders
« on: June 08, 2019, 06:52:23 PM »
I am looking to purchase a new 3D printer. Currently have a Monoprice 3 Plus which prints OK when it feels like it. Would like to get an enclosed frame with dual extruders so I can print ABS and solvable support.

The QiDi PRO seems like a good choice. The deficiencies are:

  1. Small print bed.
  2. No auto level.
  3. Need to add separate flexible print surface.
  4. Linux & Cura are questionable.

The plus:

  1. Price.
  2. Solid frame.

Any comments????

A guy at work got a geetech A20M which is around 200 usd / euros and has dual print head. The results are remarkable good and I must say I like the idea of the dual colour, single nozzle they use, minimises waste. It is an aluminium extruded frame and has quite a large build volume.
Personally, I am going to install a diamond hotend for the 3 colour option.
