stepper motor exchange
« on: October 09, 2019, 11:31:31 AM »
Greetings to members!
I'd like some help.
42BYGH34-0400A have stepper motors on my machine 3d. One of these runs stalled. I can't find one on ebay. What replacement can I buy 3db.Would I have 0.9 degrees instead of 1.8 degrees?
Need to calibrate the machine in this case?
Thank you for your kind answers.

Google quickly found the motor for about $10US. Going to 0.9 step angle should provide twice the resolution vs 1.8. I don't know the effect on power or maximum step frequency. Recently ordered a pair for a 3D printer to hopefully get more accurate X/Y dimensions.
