T2 v1.5t problem
« on: January 13, 2020, 06:19:56 AM »
Hi, I have 2 licenses for T2, one on a PC and one on a Laptop. For job that may generate much smoke or smell I take the laptop outside.
That worked vy good until last job. Importing a dxf works as expected on the PC but is shifted half ways out of screen on the laptop version. To the left and down.
I generated the gcode on the PC and copied to the laptop and result as expected.
What can be the problem. Same problem with two dxf-files.  One file attached.

When loaded with QCAD, origin isn't good (half  way  right of the the longest part).

Try : Settings , DXF options , relocate origin

Ok, but the same version of T2 handled the file different. On the PC no offset and on the laptop with offset. Both with same OS, win 10, 64bit.
Got the file from a friend, don't know which cad he used.

Relocate Origin is a setting, so if you have it enabled on one system and not the other that would explain the difference.

As pascalp pointed out the origin on that design is incorrect, in fact none of the design is in positive space. It is all in negative X and half of it is also negative Y. If Relocate Origin is checked it will move the origin automatically to the lower left corner.
