Hi,

are the features of GRBL for hardware buttons
Pin - Function
--------------------------
A2 - Cycle Start
A1 - Feed Hold
A0 - Reset/Abort

supported by the T2Laser software?

I would implement a function by pushing the Feed-Hold button on A1. In this case the cutter should stop and disable the laser.
If i push the button on pin A2 Cylce-Start then the process should be continue.

It is just to avoid overheating of my laser.

You could also reduce both the power and the speed. Which laser do you have?

If you are asking does my default firmware support these functions, then no they are not configured. You can obviously compile your own firmware with these functions.

T2Laser already supports software pause and resume but this is not required when engraving and when cutting there's the automatic dwell function.

Hi,
i am looking for a hw function.
See picture.
If overheat is detected the GRBL board should send a hold command to the T2Laser.
If the temperature is ok again send the signal resume.

This should stop the engraving until the laser can cool down.

If you compile Grbl to use those pins it should work, T2Laser will just wait for it to resume. You may want to enable reduced buffer or even simple streaming mode to get an instant response from the function.
