Yes. I think custom header and footer is a good idea. It will be a simple option added to the custom post processor in the next version (which I am working on now).

You can use the custom buttons as I mentioned, the default actually has a coolant on and off.

I had a look at port A3 and noticed it has a voltage of 5V. This means my 12V relais will not react on the signal. I have to use an amplifier.

The output is not designed to drive a relay directly. You can use a MOSFET for 12VDC, or an optoisolated TRIAC or SSR for mains power.

I inserted the mosfet and the relay now reacts correctly to a signal of A3.

Did you mention it in the manual? I cannot find any hints.

The header and footer are advanced features in the post processor menu, it is expected that you have some experience in G-code so you can enter commands.

Say you want to automatically enable flood coolant, you would enter M8 in the header (on) and M9 in the footer (off). It's the same as using the custom buttons.
