9 - detect islands inside a job and set priorities.
Cut the smallest islands first, then their parents. This way small holes are cut first and then the object itself it cut. At this moment ther is a chance the object is cut first, it falls in the honey grid and the small hole is never made.

The log file is a good idea, there are some problems with saving it due to folder restrictions but I will check on that.

If you want to control the sequence to that level I suggest doing it in the CAD program, you then have absolute control or Ralph's software BenCutLaser (BCL) is designed for this.

10 - Show name in current profile.
After a profile is selected, show its name in the title bar. This way you can always see what settings are currently in use.

Enable the overlay and you will see the settings, but it isn't a bad suggestion to show the active profile although once you change a value it would no longer be active.

11 - run a statement in the command prompt after finishing the job

After the laser cutting job has been ended, a statement can be executed in the command prompt.
For example
A -  ‘open c:\temp\logfile.txt’. Because windows has linked notepad as default application for a txt file, notepad wil show the contents of the mentioned file.
B - “‘c:\program files\my application\send_email.exe’ sendto=my-email@domain subject=finished job body=the laser cutter has finished the job.”

This way you have a very flexible way to extent the workflow when using the laser cutting software.

I believe GRBL is up to 1.1h now, is there any advantage to going to 1.1h (2019/08/25 - bugfixes and new dual motor support)
and will you add it to T2Laser?
Bugfixes are mostly coolant/safety door stuff not relevant to laser engravers though maybe one could use the coolant signal
to a relay to turn on air assist.
I understand if you haven't tested it and want to play it safe with the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" approach.

T2Laser can be used with any version of Grbl but for compatibilty reasons I do not plan to change the default firmware.

From my local builds it is also somewhat larger and will not work with the older bootloaders found on some Nano clones.
