Using T2 with an Eleksrotate module
«

I got an Eleksrotate module from the wifey for Christmas. Are there any settings in T2 that I need to change for engraving using this module? On the tests that I have done so far, the engraving appears to be oval instead of round.

No, the Eleks Rotate does not require any changes. Some other rotary modules do need to use the rotary mode option to change settings but not this type of rotary.

So do I just need to compensate manually for the oval distortion?

It should not be distorted unless it's because of the taper. The Eleks Rotate method moves the rollers at the same steps per mm as the normal Y-axis so the object should also move at the same rate / distance.

I see two potential issues
1. The mug is slipping on the rotary
2. Your stepper driver current is too high. The y axis has two motors and the driver is calibrated for two motors. How you have only one.

I never thought about the driver current. Thank you.
