Z-axis do not run properly suddenly
« on: August 21, 2016, 11:55:20 AM »
Hi All,

I am using a GeeeTech Prusa I3 Acrylic 8mm with 2 Z-motors, which I put in serial mode, rather than the original parallel mode on a Sanguilulo-board, made by GeeeTech.

The problem, which started this morning is very odd. Yesterday I did make some prints without any problems.
This morning I came back to the machine and the Z-axis do not like to work anymore. The X- and Y-motors work still OK.
Originally they did not move with the Repeater-software (in manual mode). After moving them a bit by hand (with power off), they seem to react, but after a short moment one of the two motors stutters and the both stop. They do not want to move in the opposite direction by the software. When I turn them manually they turn very easily.

Could someone give me an explanation, what could be the cause and what could I do.

Bert Mengerink
