Grbl firmware on cheap Chinese BENBOX engraver
« on: September 09, 2016, 07:47:59 AM »
Hi everyone! I'm new to this place and starting out with a silly question:

I've got myself one of those cheap Chinese Benbox engravers (see picture - I opened it up so you can see the controller board). It works quite nicely, but one thing that bugs me is that it doesn't have a command buffer so there is always a short delay and the motors stop when switching the laser. I've tried installing Grbl (various versions: J-Tech, LaserInk and plain Grbl) and was able to flash it and communicate with the firmware but the engraver just won't move. I'm guessing I need to change some pins in the firmware but I have no idea what the right configuration is...
Has anyone successfully used Grbl on this machine and can give me a hint?

Thanks!
