How to use Universal Gcode Sender on Mac OSX 10.11.6 and OS Sierra
« on: September 20, 2016, 10:46:58 PM »
I just put together my 2.5W A5 laser from Banggood. I don't have any PCs at home.
(Been using Apple computers since 1978!).

To start testing I downloaded Universal Gcode Sender from here:
http://winder.github.io/ugs_website/download/

But when I started UGS there where no Port available to select.
After researching a bit, the solution was easy.
You just enter the path to your serial driver in the box.

In my case:
/dev/cu.wchusbserial1420

So now I can finally run my steppers from UGS.

Where did I find the serial driver you might ask?
I had issues communicating with my Arduinos, but this post lead my to the solution:

And for OS Sierra:
