Engraver Scaling
« on: September 22, 2016, 05:51:09 AM »
Can someone help here, I recall that ZAX has mentioned here suggestion regarding the  X, Y values (second window of the BENDOX LASE ENGRAVING SOFWARE) in order to have 1:1 metric scale. For some reason I cannot find it and a link will help me out. Thanks.

Was doing some checking and found that benbox pixels are 100um (0.1mm). Thus a .BMP image that is, say, 500x750 pixels will lase at 50.0mm x 75.0mm. This seems to be independent of the images DPI setting.

Hi ! Every one.
Few weeks before I bought 2.5W Laser Engraver in Banggood.  The Controller board has no mark, I think it is L7 (see attached photo).  I used PS to created a test scale bar, and using V.08(default setting).   I setting is Low In=0 or 16,  Max Int=100 or 255,  Speed=800, Time=5,7,10
All combination not work, only engraving black/white at all, no scale.  Then set v.09, still only black/white.

I question is, does this controller board PWM or VFR available?  How to set them?  or have some firmware to upload?

Need help!

Below the power button is the L7 symbol. I believe PWM is only supported in the 9 and up firmware. If you scan the forum you will find a large number of users with similar problems and questions.

If you're using Benbox that is normal, it doesn't support grey scale (PWM laser power) for Eleks boards.

You can test with T2Laser or UGS and see it will work in the 0.9 setting with the correct firmware and software.
