T2 Test Burn Project

So I posted this data elsewhere but wanted to put it in here to show differences in the software settings.

I ran 28 burns yesterday with various settings and compiled the results in a PDF document that is 6 pages long, that has to be split into 2 separate file in order to attach. With that said, I am attaching the file I used (Box and Cubes - Shaded) and data file 1 of 2 to this post with file 2 of 2 going on the next post.

Let me know if there are questions or requests for certain settings.

So what would you say were your optimum settings? Run number 16?

Sorry, I have been busy with the kids sports, etc and building Mother's day Furniture.

I liked 23, only because it showed the extra white square in the one box...however, it is all relative to the project you are performing.  This test allowed me to better understand what the different settings affect and how a differing speed rate or intensity changes the burn.

Good job, very interesting.
Have you used the same material for all the tests?
I think is very important.
I noticed that even using the same material but in a different region you may obtain different results.
Especially if you use a low power or if you move too fast.
I think that if you want to work with gray scale pictures the quality of the material used is very important.

I'm using the BangGood 2.5W A5 laser, so the results should be similar.  I'm assuming you're using T2Laser as the software but what other settings are you using?

     Is it Grayscale, Dittering or Black & White
     are you using horizontal or diagonal engraving mode?
     where is the setting for acceleration?

I like 15 but that looks rather grainy.  25 is clearer and so is 28, but the grain shows thru.
