Really nice work, was that with a true TTL laser or just the modded driver and PWM?
This was done with my scratch built laser module. The heatsink came from ebay, the used $20 M140 2W diode from DTR Laser, and the driver I designed. The driver varies the output current to the laser diode based on the PWM signal from the Arduino.
According to my laser power meter, the power is pretty linear between 25%, 50%, 75% AND 100%. I have not gone up by 1% increments since my LPM only reads on decimal place
but it does come on at S1 and my grayscale tests have also shown a pretty linear response too.
I'm including a picture of the laser module I put together and used for this. Right now I only have the 500mW and this 2W module so the 2W is all I have used lately.
