I use home-brew firmware with zero acceleration at 900 to 1200 mm/min. If it needs acceleration, I modify at the host application to start early and overshoot on the horizontal lines.

I'm sure you're thinking of something else, as zero acceleration = no movement   :-\

Thanks. I made the changes. It did not have any noticeable effect. At high speeds my line is very wavy. At low speed, my line dips in the middle. I will post pictures and hopefully video of my x axis later. I am going to start a new thread for this as this is getting off topic from the thread name.

It is only my x axis that is having trouble. My Y is straight as an arrow.

I should have said it has no acceleration profiling. Start/Stop only. I have raster etched letters such as "H" and examined under magnifying glass. No visible deviation with the start/stop points. I guess this would be equivalent to a very high grbl accel value.
