Yes, the jumper under the Nano should be on 0.8 for Benbox (which uses an old modified Grbl) and needs to be moved to 0.9 for everything else. The 0.9 location uses a PWM output from the Nano to drive the laser, which is how we control power.

You can still use Benbox after moving the jumper, by changing the pin assignment in the settings although it won't control power. So you have the option to switch back and forth as needed.

Hi Zax,

I have a big problem. Maybe you can help me.
I use the benbox software(with firmware), but my laser engraver not working perfectly. X,y axis is moving, but the laser doesn't switch on.
When I use Grbl....then laser is OK, but no moving.

Than you helping and sorry my bad english.

Did you move the jumper under the Arduino Nano? That could explain the laser working and not working. For why Grbl doesn't move I think you should post your Grbl settings. Also which is you primary desire, to use Benbox or Grbl?  (Also consider making a new thread as this title would make it hard for others to find the answer to your new problem)

What machine do you have?

If it is not a standard machine it may not work with the default Grbl pin settings.

Can you send your email address? I send picture and video my machine.

Here's his driver board, looks like a clone of the Eleks Maker and his machine looks normal.

I suggest to download the latest T2Laser trial from my "Updates" link below and try using the 0.9j Custom firmware.
