John I like the 2 test pads on the bottom of the board . Is this the only test pads on the bottom other than sockets that we will be using for the Test Jig?

I knew I would forget something lol. I'm not liking how close the capacitor is to the IC and I might just relocate it and then I can make the pad extend out both sides. This and the via you mentioned should let you get some solder under there.

The pad under the Led2001 is not to solder it is for heat sink , a small drop of heat sink compound will work fine.

LOL, they are fun to take apart. You can't get it apart without destroying the OEM circuit board in the heat sink, or at least I could not.

T2 Software Updates / Re: Updates

You will find a big difference with the TTL Driver when you try it. The linearity is as good as the Jtech driver and 1/4 the size.

You know you have been in the dog to long when people come to visit and you are confused about whather to shake their hand or sniff their back side.

A good friend of mine made a statement at work one day after him and his wife had one of these same discussions.  "The cruelest trick GOD played on man was to give a woman hormones".

That is what I was thinking John. I know their was concern about it covering the drivers but we can easily space it up higher .

Benbox is a good learning point and things you learn from it can help you when you do move to another software. I played with T2 for some time before I purchased it. I am still playing with BCL. You can use the trial versions of these to see if you like them and in the process you are learning too.

Probably every one here started with benbox software because it was all new to us but after you play with it and get use to the machine you will see things that others are doing with the laser and realize benbox won't do that . That is when the learning curve starts with different software and different firmware . This is why I am glad I found this site when I first put my laser together. People like Ralph And Zax helped me a lot when I was getting started. I am sure any thing you can run into with the laser someone here has already ran into it. Ask questions . You will make some good friends here too. Keep up the good work. Also some of us here are good at making the blue smoke rise but we are the ones who are always thinking of how we can make it better.

Looks like you are coming along good..  Look a giving bencutlaser and T2 software a try. You may like them better.
